police patch

Hutchinson Police Services reported the following incidents:

OCT. 31: At 3:10 p.m., a crash was reported on School Road and Roberts Road. Francis Hawkins of Grove City was driving a 2007 Ford northbound on School Road when he entered the Roberts Road intersection at the same time as Jordan Starrett of Hutchinson, who was driving a 2012 Ford. The vehicles collided. It was unclear who had reached the stop sign first. No citations were issued.

NOV. 2: At 5:27 a.m., a traffic arrest was made on State Highway 15 and South Grade Road. James Jeffrey Lundberg, 28, of Hutchinson was driving a 2007 Jeep when he rear-ended a 2013 Chevrolet driven by Joseph Smith of Kingsford, Michigan, at a stoplight. Police found that Lundberg's license was revoked and that he had no proof of insurance. He was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license, not having proof of insurance and following another vehicle too closely.

At 6:40 p.m., an erratic driver was reported at Stony Point Road and Roberts Road. The reporting person said a vehicle was not using a turn signal, almost hit a curb, crossed over the center line and was driving far below the speed limit. Using a license plate number registered to a 1999 Buick, police located Susan Elene Stone, 53, from Stewart. An officer conducted a search of the vehicle and found a small amount of marijuana, heroin, methamphetamine and what appeared to be a counterfeit $100 bill. Stone was charged with fifth-degree controlled substance, a felony.
