Erika Tillman and Abigail Riewer are the 2019 Miss Hutchinson and Princess.

The 77th annual Hutchinson Jaycee Water Carnival went out the same way it has for many of the past years: with a bang.

The second night of fireworks over the Crow River was Sunday evening, but before that there was the annual Miss Hutchinson Coronation at the Hutchinson High School auditorium.

When it came to crown the new 2019 royalty, the 2019 Princess crown went to Abigail Riewer, and the 2019 Miss Hutchinson is Erika Tillmann.

2019 Miss Hutchinson crowned

Erika Tillmann’s face says it all as Erin Westlund, the 2018 Miss Hutchinson, places a crown on her head. Candidates Abagale Mitsche and Haley Burgart looked on as Tillmann was crowned the 2019 Miss Hutchinson during coronation Sunday evening at Hutchinson High School auditorium.

Riewer was also the winner of the Miss Hutchinson talent competition, and candidate Jennifer Campos was named Miss Congeniality.

The night also featured farewell speeches from Commodore Tess Heikes, 2018 Miss Hutchinson Erin Westlund, and 2018 Princess Olivia Watzke, as well as a speech from the 2019 Commodore, Jon Beach.

Beach introduced the Vice Commodore and Second Mate for 2019, Chad and Betsy Czmowski.
