People enjoyed cheese samples, milking contests and frozen yogurt Friday during Hutchinson Dairy Day at Library Square.

The park was packed from about 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. to enjoy live music, eat a cheeseburger lunch, and of course watch business owner Brett Haugen of Stamp-n-Storage be crowned the 2019 Milking Contest champion.

The Water Carnival Queen and Princess, as well as members of the Hutchinson Jaycees and other business representatives also tried their hands at milking cows, while dozens of children lined up for the frozen yogurt eating contest. Capped off with a dip in the fountain, it was the perfect prelude to summer in Hutchinson.
