Aide Silva, 40, of Gaylord appeared in McLeod County District Court for sentencing. Previously, the defendant entered a plea of guilty to one felony count of third-degree assault — substantial bodily harm. Judge Winters stayed the imposition of sentence and placed the defendant on probation for three years. The conditions of probation are that the defendant serve 15 days in McLeod County Jail, serve 30 days of sentence to service/work release, have no use or possession of alcohol or drugs, submit to random testing, complete a chemical dependency evaluation and follow the recommendations of the evaluation, complete a mental health evaluation and follow the recommendations of the evaluation, have no same or similar offenses, remain law-abiding and pay a fine and surcharge of $585. The issue of restitution was reserved.

Previously, the defendant entered a plea of guilty to one felony count of failure to register employment as a predatory offender. Judge Winters stayed the execution of an 18-month prison sentence and placed the defendant on probation for five years. The conditions of probation are that the defendant serve 120 days in McLeod County Jail, have no same or similar offenses, remain law-abiding and pay a fine and surcharge of $500.

Desirey York, 37, of Silver Lake appeared in McLeod County District Court and entered a plea of guilty to one felony count of third-degree controlled substance crime — possession. Judge Winters stayed the imposition of sentence and placed the defendant on probation for three years. The conditions of probation are that the defendant serve 90 days in McLeod County Jail, serve 90 days of sentence to service/work release, remain law-abiding, have no same or similar offenses, complete a chemical dependency evaluation and follow the recommendations of the evaluation, have no use or possession of alcohol or drugs with the exception of prescribed medications, submit to random testing and pay a fine and surcharge of $85.

Richard Brown, 39, of Hutchinson appeared in McLeod County District Court for sentencing. Previously, the defendant entered a plea of guilty to one felony count of second-degree criminal sexual conduct. Judge Winters sentenced the defendant to serve 60 months in prison and pay a fine and surcharge of $85.

Aaron Rasmussen, 21, of Winsted appeared in McLeod County District Court for sentencing. Previously, the defendant entered a plea of guilty to one felony count of prostitution. Judge Winters stayed the imposition of sentence and placed the defendant on probation for five years. The conditions of probation are that the defendant serve 60 days in McLeod County Jail, serve 30 days of sentence to service/work release, have no same or similar offenses, remain law-abiding, complete a sexual offender evaluation and follow the recommendations of the evaluation, have no contact with the victim and pay a fine and surcharge of $450.
