Workplace injury and illness declined slightly in Minnesota during 2021, as compared to a year earlier, according to the state’s Survey of Occupational Injuries and Illnesses.

The survey results, released last week, estimated the state had 3.4 OSHA-recordable, nonfatal, workplace injuries and illnesses per 100 full-time-equivalent workers in 2021; the estimated rate for 2020 was 3.5 cases per 100 FTE workers.
