In the Litchfield High School gymnasium Sunday, 109 seniors received their diplomas, commencing their high school years and moving on to college, careers or other opportunities.

Superintendent Beckie Simenson opened the ceremony by saying how proud she was of the Class of 2019.

Three seniors addressed the student body during the hour-long commencement program. Seniors Owen Borema, Tessa Goerish, MaLaney Huhner, Mary Ridgeway and Jadalyn Wagner were recognized for maintaining a 4.0 GPA throughout their high school careers. Class President Grace Tepfer and senior speakers Owen Boerema and Mary Ridgeway offered words of reflection and advice to their classmates. The Dragonnaires, directed by Joel Green, sang “Omnia Sol.”

Directed by Dave Ceasar, Litchfield High School Concert Band members performed “Sinfonia Voci” by David Holsinger with seniors joining in for their final high school gig.
