Denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance are the five stages of grief based on the work of Elizabeth Kubler-Ross. We go through the stages of grief at our own pace and in our own unique way. The stages of grief are not in consecutive order.
We may cycle through the stages of grief in any order, including experiencing more than one stage of grief at the same time. And, we may return to various stages of grief a number of times. There is not a right way to grieve.
