I want to take this opportunity to thank students, parents, and advisors who supported our 2017 Litchfield High School FIRST Robotics Team. The team just recently returned from the World Championships in Saint Louis, Missouri.
The skills that our students exhibited and developed in science, engineering, technology and collaborative problem solving are at the heart of what Litchfield High School and District 465 strive to continually develop with all our kids. Many, if not all of the students, involved in FIRST Robotics will be utilizing these skills in their future careers and occupations.
It is especially important to recognize our local business leaders for their financial support. Many, if not most of these local businesses, made their financial contributions without being solicited by Litchfield High School; rather they contacted advisor John Spanos to support the kids in what they believed was a meaningful endeavor. This is just another example of the important partnership of support that our school has with the community.
In addition, community mentors Kipp Kleinnschmidt, Milan and Roxanne Godejahn, Bob Paulson and Ken Renner volunteered countless hours mentoring our students, sharing their engineering expertise and helping them compete and perform at the highest level possible.
Our local sponsors for the 2017 FIRST Robotics Team 3755 team were:
