Julius L. "Tuffy" Rainwater, 86, of El Dorado, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, June 30, at Medical Center of South Arkansas. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, at Young's Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Young's funeral directors with the Rev. Larry Hudson officiating.
Julius was born Dec. 12, 1932, to Gus and Amy Dell Davis Rainwater in El Dorado, Arkansas.
Before his retirement, he worked as plant manager for AMOCO. Julius was past president of Hutchinson Minnesota Chamber of Commerce, platoon sergeant for the National Guard and a member of the American Legion. He was a Christian. He enjoyed golf, fishing, building furniture and repairing golf carts and could fix anything!
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 65 years, Marion Elizabeth Evans Rainwater; and two brothers, A.G. Rainwater (Jean) and Jerry Rainwater Sr. (Colleen).
Survivors include his three daughters, Jana Nations (Tony) of Longview, Texas, Rhonda Cardin (Les) of El Dorado, Arkansas, and Chantlè Selman (Jack) of El Dorado, Arkansas; brother Leon Rainwater of El Dorado, Arkansas; grandchildren, Cliff Nations (Ashley), Eric Nations (Elizabeth), Kaity Guinn (Seth), Mallory Wynn (Alex) and Logan Selman; great-grandchildren, Nathan Nations, Payton Nations, Sawyer Nations, Ryker Nations, Cooper Nations and great-grandchild to be, Tucker Wynn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
